In my opinion, the best kind of fall smoothie includes some kind of fall-inspired fruit or veggie such as pumpkin, apple, squash, etc. AND some kind of cinnamon-based spice blend.

With this pumpkin smoothie recipe, you’re going to get just that! The basis of this smoothie is made from frozen bananas and pumpkin puree and has a handful of amazing fall-inspired ingredient additions.

Why Coffee?

I’m sure there is one ingredient that sticks out and? It’s the coffee! We love adding a little bit of coffee to our morning smoothie because not only does it give you a caffeine boost, but coffee actually helps bring out all of the amazing fall flavors. That little bit of acidity does wonders for flavor profiles.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium frozen bananas
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cup coffee, cold (I just used leftover from the morning’s pot!)
  • 3/4 cup milk, any kind
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients into a high-speed blender.
  2. Blend on high for around 1 minute, stopping to scrape the sides if needed.
  3. Serve immediately with your favorite whipped topping.
